Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Easter Island to Taiwan and Japan.

Size: 8 inches (20 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky reefs where it sucks up the substrate to feed on various invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Has a white body and head having several slanted black bands of various widths and bright red lips. Not collected for the trade.

Has been moved into the Cheilodactylus genus.

Basically a human food fish in local areas.
