Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Sri Lanka east to Samoa and Tonga, north to Japan, and south to Onslow Australia.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and muddy areas in lagoons and on seaward reefs and usually found partially buried in the substrate at depths between 6 – 130 feet (2 – 40 m) where it feeds upon small crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
