Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Gulf of Aden, Somalia; Seychelles; Maldives; Chesterfield Islands, and New Caledonia.

Size: 2 inches (4 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inshore sandy and muddy weedy lagoons and usually found at depths between 3 – 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds on benthic invertebrates and zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade, yet if becoming available would have the same aquarium husbandry as others in this genus.
