Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Mauritius and the Comoros to the west Pacific Ocean.

Size: 72 inches (180 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow coastal coral reefs and outer slopes at depths between 3 to about 100 feet (1 – 30 m) and stays under rocks and/or in caves during daytime and hunts prey during evening hours when it feeds mainly on smaller fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Has a white body with numerous small oddly shaped black patches. Not yet collected for the trade, yet quite attractive.
