Range: Indian Ocean. Endemic to the Red Sea.

Size: 4 inches (10 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits muddy and silty areas in protected lagoons and usually found at depths between 3 – 85 feet (1 – 25 m) where it feeds upon benthic invertebrates and live corals.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
