There's a saying that's quite true, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained!" And with that said, my goal with this reference work was to make available to all ages that enjoy the aquarium hobby a non-technical understanding of the processes, both living and lifeless, that vastly influences the health and welfare of our aquariums. Hopefully it's received with the same exuberance that I had when writing it. Again...Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Cheers, Bob
Freshwater & Marine Aquarium Filtration The Path Toward Camelot
Applies to both the freshwater and marine hobby, and begins with the history of the 'aquarium' and who were among the first to use the word, aquarium. Then moves into mechanical filtration denoting and discussing the merits of various products associated with this form of filtration. Then moves on to do the same for chemical filtration. Next, moves to biological filtration, where it describes the products, methods, and equipment that have come to both forms of the hobby, beginning with the UGF in 1950, which Bob had the first in the USA, then in a timeline to show its progress to present day. Then proceeds into actual microbial processes, with where and how they function in the aquarium environment they call home! And closes with some simple suggestions on how one can obtain a "Camelot-like" environment in their home aquarium.
