Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea south to South Africa, and east to Tuamotu Island, north to Southern Japan, and south to northern New South Wales, and also Palau to the eastern Caroline Islands, and Marshall Islands.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral reefs and rocky areas and usually found at depths between 3 – 65 feet (1 – 20 m) where it feeds on algae and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
