Range: Eastern Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean.

Size: 4 inches (9 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabit branching coral heads and rocky areas on seaward reefs and usually found at depths between 6 – 65 feet (2 – 20 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton during evening hours.

General Husbandry: Has a pale greyish body with black on its caudal peduncle. As of 2016, not collected for the trade.
