Range: Indian Ocean to Angola, Western Pacific Ocean south to Australia and New Zealand and also seen in the Western Atlantic Ocean.

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal and subtidal zones, and seen attached to coral rubble in tidepools.

Aquarium Suitability: Rarely seen in the trade, and if available, a nice growth for reef aquariums, however is known to dissipate quickly.
