Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Bay of Bengal, Gulf of Thailand, Philippines, and the East China Sea to Western Australia.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and rubble areas on protected reefs, and feeds mainly at night on small crabs, shrimps, fishes, and worms.

General Husbandry: Little is known about this species, as it’s not purposely collected for the trade.

Would not be safe with very small fish, small crabs, or small ornamental crustaceans.

May be best suited for a reef aquarium with a lot of hiding places and peaceful larger tankmates.

Has a temperature range of 72 - 83°F (22 – 28°C).
